Attendance - (if known) for each event is listed in parenthesis next to the event location. Starting as of Spring 2013, the number in red indicates the number of pre-registrants (if available) and the blue indicates the number of total registrants and are given for future planning purposes. Where two numbers are listed within a parenthesis, usually for joint MAR/VAR events, the first number indicates the number of people registered under "MAR" and the second number indicates the total number of registrants, both MAR and VAR, for the event. Attendance (total registrants) for later MAR events are taken from the financial report given at the annual MAR Business meeting. Attendance numbers for earlier events are taken from brief reports printed in the NSS News.
Registration Prices - (if known) for former MAR events are listed within brackets in green next to the event's attendance numbers (if known) and are given for future planning purposes. The first number indicates the "pre-registration" price for an event and the second number indicates the price after a pre-registration "cut-off" date, or simply refered to as the registration price. These numbers are given for events after Spring 1988. Prices for later events generally are all inclusive, which includes registration, Breakdown fee, Saturday evening's banquet dinner, camping fees, guide book, etc. It was very common in the earlier MAR field events and cave rallies, up to the early 1980's to offer separate prices for registration, camping fees, and the banquet dinner.
Breakfast Attendees - (if known) for former MAR events are listed within parenthesis in orange are given for future planning purposes. The first number indicates the total number of breakfasts sold. The second number indicates the percentage of breakfast tickets sold versus the total number of registrations for that particular field event. Breakfast numbers are either provided by the breakfast coordinators or are taken from PCC Meeting minutes. For breakfast planning, see the PCC Breakfast Guidelines document.

Attention MAR Members and Attendees -The list of former MAR events, which dates back to the founding year of 1953, is 99.9% complete!
Do you have any historical MAR information that can fill in the very few missing blanks? Please help preserve MAR's history by submitting any information and/or corrections of former MAR events to the MAR Webmaster  .

* This list is in memory of Dale Ibberson, that passed away in early March 2009. Since, the creation of this list back in 2000, it was the webmaster's intention to completely document the history of the MAR and its former officers and events, including the Spring and Fall field meets, for its 50th Anniversary in 2003. However the lists were far from being complete well into early 2009. As a result of Dale's death, the majority of information needed to fill in the "missing holes" was found by researching Dale's tremendous wealth of information that he had collected and archived over the years. Dale was a true historian and he will be missed by all!
